Truly Transitional Main
Floor

This home was originally built over 20 years ago, had great bones and just needed a family to see its potential.  That is exactly what happened when we partnered up with the homeowners to create a truly transitional open floor plan design.

We removed all the old fluted columns and completely cleaned up the lines in this house which included opening up about a 5ft x 5ft  area which allowed  an open floor plan design. Starting with the complete kitchen remodel.  All new custom shaker cabinets were installed in both painted and a clear coated white oak. A large 48" slide in range complete with a  54" custom built direct vent hood.  Panel ready fridge and freezer columns as well as panel ready double dishwashers that are on either side of a 45" single bowl workstation sink.  A full size custom white oak pantry on the left of the range and a full size white oak display pantry on the right. Not to be outdone by the oversized white oak island allowing for seating for the entire family.

We moved the laundry room down to the end of the hall with access from the hallway or the primary bathroom, completed a full remodel on the primary bathroom to coordinate with the stylings of the new kitchen and main floor design.  In place of the original laundry we added a half bath as well as increased the space behind the new half bath to accommodate  a boot bench for a family of 5 and an overflow pantry area as well as a drop area when you come in from the garage.

The living room that connects the primary suite to the kitchen hearth area was the tying factor.  By painting the 3 sets of french doors in a rich black it brought immediate drama to the space.  Not to be outdone by the 2 story ceiling in this space.  We completely removed the existing small fireplace and replaced it with a 48" new unit with a white oak mantel flanked by new custom white oak builts ins for plenty of game storage.  Then to finish off this amazing wall we applied a limestone paint to the three sides of the fireplace wall.  And shiplap over both builtins in an angled installation to play up the height of the room even more.  The finishing piece of this room would be the 60" wide chandelier.

Lastly all new 4 1/4"white oak floors were installed and finished in a subtle natural finish.
