JC Interior Designs
At JC Designs, our first priority is to set up an in-home consultation with you, our client. Here, I get the opportunity to meet you in your home for the first time. During this meeting, we will discuss what projects you are looking to work on. Then, after walking through your home, we can create a cohesive plan for your projects.

We then prioritize your needs, and discuss your budget for the projects you would like to complete. I am a full service designer that offers the ability and convenience to complete your projects from start to finish. The consultation is $150 and usually lasts from 30-60 minutes. From that point forward, the rate is $150 per hour. We always give you an estimated amount of design time needed to complete each project, so there are never any surprises.
Meet Julie Casey
The every-day artistry, creativity, and energy of the city helps shape Julie Casey Design, or JC Design. I have always had a passion for design. It led me to my double major in Commercial and Residential Design at Missouri State University.
Upon graduation, I accepted a position as a Residential Designer for a retail firm in Kansas City. I worked with their clients on design projects, while also coordinating with the purchasing team to create a showroom that provided custom, unique and ideal pieces for the Kansas City market. I enjoyed working with the purchasers and clients for over twenty years, helping take customers’ dreams and creating beautiful realities.
JC Designs Meets BC Construction
I began working with Bryan Casey Construction in 2001. We continue our collaboration today, as both work partners and as spouses!
Bryan and I partner together from the outset with clients on their building or remodeling projects. As a team, we have a natural feel for how design elements and materials come together to create spaces that our clients love.

In 2016, I started my own business, JC Design. I work with individuals and families in Kansas City and across the country to bring their design and decorating visions to life. I continue to work closely with Bryan Casey Construction on all their remodeling and design projects.

Now working alongside Bryan Casey Construction full-time one of my most favorite things is getting to fully furnish and accessorize a completed remodel space that BCC completed and that I was hand in hand with the client!
"Born and raised in Kansas City, I love the uniqueness of our city. It has a small town, yet cosmopolitan feel that inspires me and makes me proud to call it home."

Color Layouts
A speciality of JC Design, we offer full color layouts to ensure the ideal coloring for your room and furniture. Whether you are wanting to redo one room or an entire home, we discuss the options for color, and the best way to utilize a cohesive color palette for your home.
This is a great way to start each project before buying anything. It allows you to have a plan for the overall color and accent colors, and how they can be introduced into the design.
Furniture Planning
We all know the fear of looking at a room, wondering how you will ever lay out the furniture. It can be overwhelming to walk into a furniture store, fall in love with a piece of furniture, but have no idea how it is supposed to go together in your home.
At JC Designs, I work with you to create a furniture plan with pieces that are not only best scaled for the room, but with the ideal fabrics for each piece. Meeting together at your favorite store, you can have confidence in what you are selecting and what fabrics are best suited for your style and your family’s needs.
Tablescapes
I love creating tablescapes for every season. I believe whether it is your entry table, dining table, or kitchen table setting, the mood for the time of year, or your event, is a great way to express your personal design.
Your entry table, for example, is one of the most important elements you have and sets the tone for the whole home. We will work together to create a tablescape with the ability to be subtly transformed, depending on the holiday or season – simple things like changing the florals or greens, and witching out the runner or adding a runner. They all are a part of creating a focal point in one area of your home.
Accessorizing
Most people have things in their home that they love, but don't realize it is in the wrong place. Often, scale and shape are an issue when accessorizing your home. And it is important to understand how critical placement is when accessorizing.
In today’s world, less is more when it comes to accents. I work with you and review your existing pieces. Together, we see how we can transform them by moving and adding new, fresh pieces with them. Small touches can make a big difference in the warmth and "wow" of your home.
