The goal was to unify the primary bath with the rest of the main floor remodel and part of that had to do with relocating the laundry space out of the kitchen to the end of the hallway by the primary.  The homeowners wanted access from not only the main part of the house but from the primary bath as well.  We wanted to add more natural light to the space which was pouring in from the original two windows and once we eliminated the cave-like shower the entire space just opened up.  The primary bathroom is large to begin with but once the light flooded everywhere it felt even bigger.  We then incorporated the white oak cabinets from the kitchen to the vanity cabinets providing a huge amount of storage for both people.  The finish touch was the new lighting, by incorporating pendant lights to the vanity it allowed for full length mirrors playing up the tall ceilings, and connecting it to the hanging fixture located in the center of the room creating interest by the freestanding tub.
