What began as a serendipitous meeting quickly grew into a deeply rewarding collaboration to reimagine a treasured family estate. The homeowner, newly tasked with stewarding their childhood home, sought clarity and inspiration. We found both in our shared vision for a modern transformation rooted in care, craftsmanship, and style. Together, we set out to preserve the spirit of the home while reshaping it into a bright, tailored space built for a new chapter.
The renovation centered around reconfiguring the main level of this split-level ranch. Walls between the kitchen and dining areas were removed, sightlines expanded, and natural light maximized through new custom window layouts and a reoriented slider. Our team designed and installed a harmonious blend of paint-grade cabinetry with white oak accents in a slim shaker profile. Notable features include a reeded white oak range hood, quartz waterfall countertops, and integrated LED lighting routed flush beneath floating shelves. Function met form through smart storage elements like rollout trays, hidden trash pullouts, and full-height cabinetry with lift hinges.
Throughout the home, materials and tone transition seamlessly from one space to the next. The living room’s original fireplace was elevated with stacked stone stretching to the skylit ceiling, flanked by custom cabinetry and anchored by a hand-crafted white oak mantel. In the guest bath, textured laminate wraps and bold tile choices make a compact space feel expansive, while the primary suite’s complete reconfiguration allowed us to design a spa-inspired retreat. Here, reeded tile, natural penny rounds, and a custom CNC-milled vanity in Sherwin-Williams' Evergreen Fog come together to create balance and tranquility.
The lower level continues the theme of considered design: a reimagined hallway leads to a standout laundry room with built-ins and tilework that ties the floorplan together. Additional highlights include a mud bench, entertainment niche, and custom closet solutions throughout. Every detail reflects intentional planning, collaboration, and the homeowner’s trust. This project wasn’t just about renovating a house; it was about honoring legacy while making space for joy, comfort, and new beginnings
