It’s an honor to hone every corner of a home, and even more so when you get called back to continue the transformation. It is a testament to our quality work, thoughtful communication, and relationship building at the heart of Bryan Casey Construction.
In this phase we reimagined a full primary suite, remodeling both the bedroom and bathroom. Reconfiguring and taking space from the oversized master bedroom and unused hallway we were able to gain a ton of usable space in the bathroom and closet. We blended new construction with the existing closet built-ins seamlessly carrying the home’s past into its future.
Hexagonal tile over premium heated flooring provides luxury, warmth and a continuous flow tying the entirety of the primary suite together. A curbless shower with glass walls allows for the uninterrupted flow of the tile, visually expanding the space. A richly stained vanity anchors the bathroom, offering a ton of practical storage space, grounding the space with the tone and natural texture serving as a central hub to the start of each day.
Working with our clients we determined that their investment in a quality tub, plumbing fixtures, and lighting allowed for their re-use in parts of this project. Updated lighting was a must and the rhythm produced by our designer’s choice of staggered lighting over the vanity is one of our favorite moments here. The mirror scale and use of sconces shows the mastery of not only the look, but the function creating rhythm and dimension, while providing ample task lighting.
A backlit horizontal niche above the tub illuminates iceberg double herringbone tile. We continued the motif using the accent in the vertical niche in the shower. This accent tile creates a dynamic interplay between the large-format wall tile and the geometric hex floor, adding texture and visual interest.
We crafted a niche at the entry of the suite which includes custom floating shelves and storage, creating a nice breathing moment to center and store necessary goods. It’s both practical and beautifully integrated.
Lit niches and toe kicks provide not only safety in the middle of the night but an upscale element showcasing the high quality materials and craftsmanship throughout the bathroom.
