This modern french country home  underwent a full first floor remodel as well as an addition of a second floor loft over the garage.

 The open kitchen and living room is really where the wow factor came in.  The focal point of this kitchen is the large island backdropped by the dramatic black cabinetry.   Behind the cabinet doors you will find the appliances taking the impact of the stainless steel appliances and putting it more on the overall design of the kitchen.  The brass hood is really the show stopper of this whole project and really the main impact of the space.

 

The butlers pantry is really such an awesome add to this home.  Allowing for all the functional stuff to be hidden yet easily accessible.

The fireplace was absolutely the other architectural  feature of this space.  We removed the small under scaled fireplace and increases it with a dramatic full view gas fireplace.  We then did a limestone paint on the front portion of the fireplace from floor to ceiling.

We did move the laundry to the front hallway and increases the overall size of the primary bathroom.  The primary bedroom was updated with new hardwood floors, a dramatic floor to ceiling tiled fireplace and new lighting.  The primary bath was a complete remodel to include a double walk in shower, a freestanding soaking tub, A double vanity with increased storage, and heated floors from the primary bath into the primary closet.
