This well-loved home, full of life and character, became a collaborative canvas between our team and a set of highly engaged clients whose vision aligned beautifully with our own. Together, we set out to create an airy, approachable retreat. It’s infused with warmth, yet elevated to a magazine-worthy level of refinement.

One of the key transformations took place in the primary bath. The existing tub deck, bulky and space-hogging, was the first to go. Opening up the floorplan really allowed the design to breathe. In its place, a sculptural freestanding tub with a charming bell curve was paired with a matte black floor-mount faucet for a touch of striking contrast. With the deck removed, we gained space for added linen storage between the bath and shower, adding both a functional and visually grounding solution that elegantly delineates the two zones.

Shiplap walls introduce subtle texture and provide linear movement throughout the primary suite, seamlessly tying together the aesthetic. Custom white oak cabinetry infuses the space with organic warmth, a tone we echoed in the tub niche with a durable tile that mimics the same woodgrain characteristics. The soft, tone-on-tone palette across tile and paint creates a calming, timeless atmosphere, while our designer curated the tile shapes in a way that lends quite sophistication.

We were also offered the opportunity to thoughtfully reimagine the laundry room. Previously cramped and difficult to navigate, the space was transformed by repositioning the washer and dryer on the back wall. By moving the appliances we unlocked valuable storage and working counter space, and best of all, the ability to walk through and use everything in the room.

We layered in personality with a bold, contrasting floor tile and painted the custom cabinetry in Sherwin William’ Caviar for visual weight and balance. Floating white oak shelves echo the materiality of the primary suite, ensuring cohesion throughout the home. Finishing touches like gold hardware, matte black faucet, and new ceiling fixture provide details that really shine.
