Vertical tile lines add texture and movement, subtly catching light from concealed sources within the shelving.

An artful inversion of countertop materials introduces striking contrast and visual rhythm. The island is topped with a dark, honed stone featuring ghost-like veining, grounding the room with rich depth. Perimeter countertops offer a lighter surface with soft, dark veining, creating an elegant interplay. A meticulously crafted white oak hood adds just the right amount of detail—introducing natural texture and warmth that softens and elevates the entire space.

Cabinetry was designed with craftsmanship at the forefront. The 5/4 doors offer a more substantial profile, enhancing both the tactile and visual experience. Their weight delivers a quiet, luxurious close that feels effortless. Incorporating features like pocket doors required precise planning to maintain seamless functionality. Full-height wall towers, capped with a modern head detail, maximize storage while providing architectural definition.

A standout element is the custom pocket door cabinet—designed around the client’s daily needs. This hidden workstation keeps frequently used appliances readily accessible yet easily concealed for instant clean-up before entertaining.

Finishing touches include a curated selection of hardware that brings subtle movement and cohesion throughout the kitchen. Matte black tab pulls and square knobs, unified in finish yet varied in form, enhance the transitional aesthetic while maintaining a sense of thoughtful design continuity.
